How it works: Wear your Smiley button. Seeing the Smiley button might make another person look your way and return the smile.

If your smile is returned, and you feel comfortable, acknowledge the other person with a nod and smile. This simple interaction is the start of a new relationship. 

Ask if they would like a button. You have buttons in your pocket. Give them a Smiley button.

If while out you happen to see another Smiley button, and only if you feel comfortable, smile and start a conversation:

     “Cool button”

     “Where did you get your button”

     “Nice button”

     “I am Lowell”

With this one smile, and a few words, you have created a positive relationship between two people and brought the world one step closer to Peace.
